Description
When applying for a South African import export license, foreign individuals or entities must appoint a registered South African customs agent as their local representative. Prior to nomination, the South African representative must be registered with customs. The appointed agent assumes responsibility for any outstanding monetary customs obligations incurred by the foreign entity during their import export operations.
